“You can tell him (a lunatic) by the liberties he takes with common sense, by his flashes of inspiration, and by the fact that sooner or later he brings up the Templars.”

"Several people have been in touch with me today about the discovery of the 'Templar' cave in Shropshire, England.
Amidst all the excitement I just did a radio interview pointing out that the cave most probably has nothing whatsoever to do with the Knights Templar.
Not a single Templar symbol is to be seen and the architectural format does not follow any accepted Templar/Christian sacred architectural formats.
So what is it?
Well, when you take the tea lights away, its not that special.
Several such caves exist in Shropshire, the nearby Hawkstone Cave, for example; a project created by a wealthy landowner to stimulate a local village economy.
These caves were often referred to as 'druids grottoes' having been carved in the fashion of druidic altars, which were all the rage in mid-Victorian England.
Albeit there is no sign of classic Templar/Christian architecture, many features correspond with druidism and neo-paganism. I'm going to write a blog about this next week." Ashley Cowie
